South Westland narrowly lost to Grey Valley in their Muir Trophy senior rugby match at Harihari on Saturday. Corey Deans led the scoring for the hosts, dotting down once and kicking three three conversions and two penalties. Luke Hughes scored a brace for Grey Valley and added three conversions and a penalty.
